For three years now I have been living in countries where I have access to a great deal of illegally copied, very cheap and up-to-date DVDs. Other forms of entertainment are limited.
Unfortunately, in such places, it's easy to let the movie hype pass you by and sometimes it's hard to know what you are buying and ultimately watching. Or at least it used to be.
I now listen to Mark Kermode on podcast. Sometimes I even save his shows for long bus journeys. Absolutely unmissable.
I'm glad to say he has also switched to vodcasting. Details of pod and vod here. Do yourself a favour and subscribe.
In the meantime, enjoy his savaging of the latest Pirates of the Caribean franchise.
Crap ongoing joke with my girlfriends: We're moving to the east coast here to set up a gym. We're going to call it "Pilates of the Caribean".
