I always find it's better NOT to get the translation. Then I can imagine they're saying "hello extremely pretty lady, thanks for visiting our country. did we mention how pretty you are?"

It's an idea although I've come to the conclusion that the only way to deal with being overseas is to ditch your ego and take the name calling lightly.

We do seem to be making some progress though. They're pretty good kids on the whole.

We've got to the point that they high five me as a cycle past on my bike.

That's a good sign, right?

Yes, it's a good sign as long as you don't hear tittering once you've turned the corner.
